چکیده

method correlated well with the other two compared hs-CRP methods in the range of 0.2–100 mg/L. At concentrations 100 mg/L, however, poor correlations were found between all compared methods. Because we are convinced that for the clinical laboratory it is most practical to use one CRP method for the complete measuring range, further investigation to improve agreement among the different methods in the higher range is required.

MeDIP Real-Time qPCR has the Potential for Noninvasive Prenatal Screening of Fetal Trisomy 21

This study aimed to verify the reliability of the 7 tissue differentially methylated regions used in the methylated DNA immunoprecipitation (MeDIP) real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (real-time qPCR) based approach of fetal DNA in maternal blood to diagnosis of fetal trisomy 21. Forty pregnant women with high risk pregnancy who were referred after first or second trimester screeni...

Increased fetal DNA concentrations in the plasma of pregnant women carrying fetuses with trisomy 21.

BACKGROUND The recent discovery of the presence of circulating cell-free fetal DNA in maternal plasma opens up new prenatal diagnostic applications and provides new avenues for clinical investigation. It is of research and potential diagnostic interest to determine whether fetal trisomy 21 may be associated with quantitative abnormalities of circulating fetal DNA in maternal plasma. METHODS M...

Simultaneous detection of trisomies 13, 18, and 21 with multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification-based real-time PCR.

BACKGROUND Trisomies 13, 18, and 21 account for the majority of chromosomal aneuploidies detected in prenatal diagnosis. Diagnosis of these trisomies relies mainly on karyotype analysis. Several molecular methods have been developed for trisomy detection, but performance or throughput limitations of these methods currently constrain their use in routine testing. METHODS We developed multiplex...

Optimized real-time quantitative PCR measurement of male fetal DNA in maternal plasma.

BACKGROUND Circulating fetal DNA (cfDNA) in maternal plasma has been measured to investigate its possible relationship with pregnancy-related disorders, including fetal trisomy 21 and preeclampsia. The circulating concentrations of single-copy fetal genes, however, are close to the detection limits of PCR methods. METHODS We optimized a protocol for the real-time quantitative PCR amplificatio...
